I am attempting to cancel a current Motability application with Ford, I have decided that the Ford Puma is not accessible for me and I need to put in an new application for a Hyundai, however Ford are not answering my emails requesting a cancellation, I missed a couple of calls from them which I have returned but heard nothing back. I need to apply to the MF for an AP grant but I can’t do this until Ford cancel my application online, how long should I leave it before I contact Motability regarding this? It feels like they are purposefully messing me around! Thanks, L

If you have an online account,it might be worth taking a look to see if Ford have cancelled the order, but not bothered to tell you.

However if the car still shows in your online account, speak with Motability and explain Ford are not answering your calls or emails to cancel the Puma as its not going to be accessible for you over the longterm and request they cancel the order from their end.

Hi Kezo, Thanks for that, do you happen to know how long it takes for an application cancellation to process?

Typically shows up in your online account same or next day.

Ah okay, they definitely haven’t cancelled it in that case. Thanks

Speak to Motability via online chat in the morning, they are excellent and will get it sorted. I always say use online chat because you can then have the whole transcript of what was said emailed to you, so helps to look back on if need be. (Did for me when terminating a lease early)

All the best I hope you get it sorted this week.
