There’s a Peak Save Green event for British Gas customers tomorrow 10/9/24 between 11am and 1pm, half price electricity, but don’t forget you need to register for each one of the Green events by opting in from the email they send you. It’s worth switching your usage if you can.

The energy companies are having to become a bit more creative with pricing these days aren’t they?
I’ve received £2.50 worth of free electricity from Octopus under a similar scheme. In the real world, that’s the car topped up and the washing done amongst other things.

Im sure they’ll bring it back, they’ve done Peak Save Sundays for a year now, the Saturday was introduced to coincide with the Olympics, it was really popular, we’ll probably get an email in the next few days saying it’s been extended till Christmas.
September 11, 2024 at 12:25 am #288318Jojoe what is your deal with British Gas? In my experience, Octopus is better in almost all tariffs compared to the competition.

Anything i post over three lines long please assume it is an article lol.September 11, 2024 at 11:12 am #288334@Brydo We’re on a fixed deal 23p per unit and 46.9p standing charge. I don’t like the idea of charging the car at night so will make the most of Peak Save days.
September 11, 2024 at 11:30 am #288337I fixed with Octopus middle of last month.
21.59p kWh / 60.66p day
September 11, 2024 at 11:55 am #288339Literally just had the email, Peak Save Sundays has been extended. That’s 11.5p per KWH to charge the car during 11-4 on Sundays.
September 11, 2024 at 12:11 pm #288340Just had my Peak Save monthly summary. It saved us £5.39 in August and £72.04 over the year. It’s well worth participating.
