JohnI have arranged a test drive of BMW X2 automatic at the end of this month,
I sat inside the X2 in the showroom and found it comfy with a sporty low driving position.
Could anyone with a X2 please let me know what they think of the car?
if I like it I would order the 20i xdrive sport.
i currently have a Volvo XC60.
thanks
john

Hi John
I have the BMW X2 sport 2.0 Sdrive plus sports package
I love the car to bits. Only 2 issues for me are the lack of high adjustment on the seat belts.
Petrol consumption is not great just doing town and local driving. I am averaging 32.3 MPG.
The car is good to drive and very comfortable for me with the sports seats.
The sport pack gave me ambient lighting. 19inch alloys with run flat tyres. Upgraded speakers to harmon kardon. Tinted glass. Extended lights.
The auto box is silky smooth and oh so fast in sports mode.
Here is a thread on my BMW I started a while back https://forum.whichmobilitycar.co.uk/forums/topic/josss-bmw-x2-topic/

JohnHi Joss,
thanks for replying,
I read through the thread you included,
does the X2 bleep when approaching a speed camera or would I have to subscribe to one of BMWs apps?
glad your enjoying your car.
My current car is non metallic white,
if I enjoy the test drive I’ll order it in sapphire black with 19” wheels.
Thanks
John
November 7, 2019 at 5:19 pm #95574Does the x2 bleep when approaching speed cameras. No. There is no facility for detection of speed cams that I could find. UK and EU law ban the use of such detectors in a moving car. Hence they don’t install.
In my previous car A ford. The feature worked well. so go figure that one out.
Seems like the only solution is to fit something like Road Angel.

November 7, 2019 at 6:51 pm #95599Good luck with the test drive John. Make sure its a good one. Is it an auto your after?
I love the choice of driving modes and gear selection options. From full auto to paddle shift or sequential gear stick. Modes are Eco pro, Comfort and sports.

What a strange omission from BMW.November 7, 2019 at 9:04 pm #95614
JohnYes it’s an automatic for test drive.
my Volvo XC60 has 220bhp and 2.5l engine,
I hope I like the performance of the X2 with 190bhp.
The XC60 has been great to drive, especially in snow.
i would only order the X2 Xdrive so that I don’t get stuck in snow.
cheers

PhiljbJust beware the xdrive is still not too great in deep snow. So if you live where you get lots you will definitely need good winter tyres or snow socks/ chains.

JohnI extended the lease on XC60 for further 2 years,The 3 year lease was up at beginning of Oct.
I was going to get XC40 but Taggarts Glasgow won’t give discount on options so I’m looking at other dealers.
Been with Volvo 9 years,
got XC90 in 2010 with £4000 advance payment ,best car I’ve had with motability in 30 years.
engine warning light came on xc60 earlier today,
waiting on RAC to come out!

PhiljbI love the looks of the x2 I must admit but it’s not big enough for my needs.
If only the xc90 was on the scheme now but they are almost triple the scheme price cap.
it’s probably the only current Volvo I’d fancy with the xc 60 in the list of possibles after the Audi Q5 and jaguar F pace. Dream on. - AuthorReplies
