Wonder if the X1 will be offered in different variants in April (or removed totally)

Reason I’m thinking this, I’ve been considering purchasing one, even with the hefty 7/8k AP, I’ve been looking on Autotrader, and there’s  141new ones in stock, and almost all of them are being reduced by a few grand!

Maybe they’ll use MB to clear some stock.

(When I say 141, I don’t mean all are plug in hybrids) but still there’s a lot of new X1’s in stock.

Sadly, I think all we will ever get offered is the PHEV or the iX1. Manufacturers are using Motability to try to get their EV numbers up and adding ICE variants would fly against that.

I am pretty sure, if the BMW wanted to shift some stock quickly via Motability, a few reduced AP or cashback offers would have appeared. The lack of any such offers more or less shows they don’t want to use the Motability scheme to reduce inventory.

Even the formerly longstanding ‘£500 off BMW’s at Marshall Motor Group’ has now been ‘retired’ to use the terminology they used in response to an e-mail I sent enquiring about it in January.

In short, I wouldn’t rate the chances of BMW offering anything in the direction of Motability, particularly on petrol or hybrids.

@BigDave The plug-in Hybrid X1 is already on the scheme, albeit at eye watering APs.
