BMW are recalling hundreds of thousands of cars worldwide due to a fire risk related to the starter motor on ICE cars. I wonder if our favourite anti EV YouTuber will do a story about this.

Bearing in mind the affected models were built between July 2020 and July 2022, and given the list of models affected:
I cannot see there would be many, if actually any of the affected vehicles remaining as Motability scheme vehicles. None would certainly be converted to WAV’s on 5 year leases! Most of the listed model haven’t ever been on the scheme!The ‘popular on the scheme’ X1 and X2 are not affected, nor the 1 series, so the chances of anyone on the scheme having one of the affected vehicles must be virtually nil, barring maybe an odd 2 or 3 series from 2021/2022 on an extended lease, but you could probably count them on one finger now.
I really don’t think there is any panic or drama for the folks hereabouts.
