I’ve just put my Austral into the garage and as I went to switch off, I had the ‘P Auto Gearbox Failure’ warning on the dash screen. This seems to have been a regular thing with the Austral (MY25) with people reporting up to 12 weeks spent with the dealerships waiting for parts.
I’m leaving the car sat in the garage overnight to see if the fault clears as has sometimes happened with other Australs but I’m not really sure what to do if it’s still there in the morning. Do I contact Motability or call the RAC out? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If the fault is still there tomorrow I’d be contacting the dealership as first port of call as it’s them that’ll have to sort it out.

Photograph the fault showing on the display, as evidence, contact service department and get RAC to recover the car to Reno and organise a hire car. If dealers says there’s nothing wrong, you got evidence from the photo!
