We had a Techno Esprit Alpine Austral on order. The top Iconic trim came on the scheme this morning. Just called dealer to change our order. Yay! Sunroof, 4-wheel steering, 360 cameras and fun stuff.

Good for you. When I initially looked a it, I found it quite dark insiside compared to the top trim with glass roof.
That was our only complaint. The 360 cameras and other stuff are just a bonus. For us, the panoramic roof is a biggie. I was on the phone to the dealer a couple of minutes after seeing the news. It will push back our delivery until after Christmas, ‘cos Iconic stock levels are low, but worth the wait. I do wonder if, due to stock levels, it won’t stay on the scheme long.

Superb car mind and probably the car that will make me go back to an ICE
Reviews seem mixed 50/50. It can be turned off in settings, but I will be giving it a try, espescially when parking.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
Dealer said circled colours were free. We chose the dark grey.

As usuall it seems like there are discrepencies between dealers!
That’s a good call and the too spec is fully loaded & the panoramic screen will definitely help. It wasting the scheme when I ordered and got my Austrel in July. I love mine and very economical with the hybrid system and after almost 5000 no issues so far. Renault really have upped their game in terms of ergonomics, quality fit & finish . Enjoy when you get yours – that sound system is one of the best too.
I have called my dealer about swapping to the Iconic. Just hoping I can as my Techno has arrived and was about to set a pick up date.
No contract exists between you and the dealer until you enter the PIN. I hope you are able to change smoothly.

Same here, dealer has just phoned to say he has put the new order through and said that they should have no trouble selling the car that I ordered. It is sitting in the dealers pound waiting for me to pick up. I would have picked it up probably late last week or Monday this week but my Tiguan needed its MOT doing and motability wouldn’t let me change till it was done. It has gone in this morning to be done (phew), so luckily I looked on the forum this morning to see if there was any changes, as I have done since I ordered the Techno, I just knew that at some time the Iconic would come on the scheme.
So I was told the same, probably delivery mid January. Worth the wait.

not only the fact hoists are now 400% more expensive than my last one , Now £600 minimum ( not informed by dealer) so another £600 on AP
The boot opening is not as large as it seems, and only ONE hoist may fit the Austral
my dealer or their adaptation company yet to order or fit one to an Austral
It now appears my chair cannot be lifted in as it is mm too high,
Now they expect me to remove the whole seat from its frame (16kg) by hand , then the hoist will lift the base in
or buy a new chair at 2k that will fit the car

Yep, it’s a problem.
Currently, our fitter knows of only one hoist that will fit the Austral (or Qashqai – same underpinnings): the Autochair 80Kg 4 Way Compact Boot Hoist (Smartlifter Lc Range). He’s fitted several to QQs and one to an Austral.
The big picture problem is that the larger cars have disappeared off the scheme. This is bloody ridiculous!
