After an Apple update the wife iPone 16 is asking for age verification, it will not recognise her email address, password or 6 digit passcode. We have been on to Apple helpline two techical advisers, they cannot resolve it, been online apparently it is a total mess up.

Very limited us and can only phone no in her address book.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

Have you tried force restarting the phone and seeing if it auto validates age. If not do another force restart and scan a credit card.

To date even Apple technical cannot fix it, I will wait for the next update to see what happens. For Apple this is massive PR disaster it will push Apple users towards Androids

Have you looked at rolling back to the previous version?

I’m an Android fan, so not fully clued up on IOS devices

Sorry it doesn’t help, but I just had to click to say I was over 18. Apparently if you’ve held an apple account for a few years they consider this as proof, I’ve had an apple account since 2009 with my iPhone 3s.
