BradDoes anyone on the forum use an air fryer? I’ve heard they’re brilliant? There’s some online for £20 – £400. Also read they can save you money?? Before I consider buying one would like some more opinions on anyone who’s got/ used one. Thanks

I remember my Wife and Daughter wanting the sheepskin slippers on sale, went in a day early got 4 pairs, put one each away for Christmas and handed the others over for immediate use..
Best of luck anyway.

BradFor you guys who already have an air fryer, would you say it’s cheaper than using the cooker overall? And thanks for everyone’s feedback on my post, I appreciate it.

ajnBrad not really the cost for us, more ease of use for my wife, her grip isn’t as great as it used to be and these things are easier for her, however we’re not the most adventurous with it when it comes to cooking with it…
If we upgrade I intend to experimenting with more adventurous recipes, maybe then might show the cost..
November 12, 2022 at 10:02 am #200292Morning sir @ajn Was having a think last night that the price £89 is overly cheap compared to anything similar on the market. So how was you last aldi air fryer?
November 12, 2022 at 10:55 am #200295My Ninja air fryer is both a time and money saver.

ajnWow Kezo, to kind ?, my cheap Aldi twist nob air fryer was and still is great for our sort of use, as mentioned it’s looking a bit tired now (the non stick coating on the basket has worn off).
So although there are probably far better yet more costly, the Aldi deal will suit us just fine..
Might be lucky tomorrow hopefully you too if you venture out for one, however if not we will carry in with our trusty reliable cheapo Aldi aged one..

AnonymousAtoB Dude got a link or info on the item you bought, what’s the double lid doings all about
https://instantbrands.co.uk/shop-all-products/duo-crisp-air-fryer/
Although I got an 8l one from argos using the argos card and 6 months interest free.
The two lids are one for pressure cooker and the other is the airfyer lid.
I have already used both yesterday I used the sous vide to cook some rump steak then seared it after and was amazingly tender.
I have cooked a whole roast dinner in it a part from the veg using both the pressure cooker and then airfryer to crisp it all up.
Many youtube vids or recipes about also.
I done this amazing chicken and rice recipe, all in one pot omg it’s so tasty.
So many options over just an air fryer and we don’t have a huge kitchen with space for multiple items so is great imo.
November 12, 2022 at 2:24 pm #200312- My ninja foodi is one of the older pots and alas doesn’t have sous vide or dehydration. I do have a sous vide cooker system tho and often use it for steaks. I’ve got a vacuum sealer, in fact I’ve 2 lol.
Sealing them is a big help and better than ziplocks.

AnonymousNo problem ajn, Struth i don’t have a vacuum sealer but use a zip lock back and sink it in water the get the air out another great life hack. Great for storing food also.

Have a look on Ninja kitchen site they do I think is a 14 in 1 where everything is built into the same lid so cuts the requirement of having 2 lids.

November 13, 2022 at 11:52 am #200371Oh well not to be passed a Aldi saw this sign…
I went down my Local Aldi @8.15 there was one person already there and another that arrived the same time as me. The assistant manger came out 15min later and said they had none delivered. Went to next store 5mins drive and the same story manager come out and said they only had 2 delivered but they were to be given to the two already waiting when I arrived. My parents went to their local store in England fr one-same story,
So either they sold them all online last week or the distribution centre has had them for themselves or for Ebay according to the manager at the 2nd store I went.
At least the managers had the cecency to come out and not let people wait untill store opening time.

ajnWorth a try kezo, our aged one still works so not to much of a problem..
Might just replace it with a similar type one..
November 13, 2022 at 5:01 pm #200412Shocking story @Kezo Sounds like you got fried. Something fishy going on at the distribution warehouse.

For £89 I was willing to give one a try, but guess I will never know how crap or good they are for the money 🙂
November 14, 2022 at 8:08 pm #200496not unusual for this to happen with high demand items with both aldi and lidl , or was back in day when i shopped there.
maybe next time they come out there wont be quite as big a demand
