I thought it was not possible to have under 25 driver on Skoda Enyaq 85x I have, but looks like no issue at all: went on Motability website-> insurance and then to their website. An only predicament that we will need to use their tracking app, so I didn’t proceed,  but thought others on this forum may benefit.

Now that’s arguably the best news I’ve had all Christmas so far!
Was it the Direct Line DrivePlus App? Or the Motability Drive Smart one?
I literally don’t care if I have to have the telematics system if I can have a car that I actually want rather than having one just because it’s for under 25s and not being happy with it.

        🙂

I would not get to excited, it sounds as though @kdwolf was checking how to add an under 25 to their drivers and suspect the issue of the car not being classified as for under 25s will have blocked it at some point. Don’t get me wrong, this would be a wonderful change which with the addition of ‘Drive Smart’ makes sense, and I would love to be proved wrong. Fingers crossed🤞 The website today is still very clear about what cars can be driven by an under 25

i think as its an additional driver added to the policy rather than being the main policy holder its different as they may consider the young driver is being supervised rather than being in sole control of the car.

Possible reason but not what the Ts&Cs on MB website say, if the under 25 had actually been added I would feel that its possible for these reasons. Time will tell I guess. Of course any customer with an under 30 driver has to have Drive Smart (for ALL drivers) which will put people off adding younger drivers🤣

Well, my first thought was that it was a technical glitch. Then I remembered that the senior Motability agent that’s assigned to us after the debacle with the last two cars suggested looking at the Kona Full Hybrid when we said about not being able to find a local dealer with a 1.0 Kona manual. She said that it might be worth putting in for a hybrid which is too powerful by 9bhp and two ABI groups over the limit. Maybe she knows something that we all don’t.
