Very doubtful that Motability will authorise the third service being so close (within 2 months) of the vehicle’s return date.
They used to permit the 3yr service, but nowadays under their current fiscal policy, they generally don’t unless a formal lease extension is in operation (as occasionally happens).
However, to cover yourself do enquire with your dealership and let them make the decision after they have consulted Motability.

August 19, 2026 at 12:52 pm #377545I called them this morning and they said no 3rd service, but if engine light comes on or car no worky, take to dealer !
MOT already done:)
August 19, 2026 at 1:23 pm #377549Hyundai told my mum her Kona electric was due for a service and the car was booked in 4-5 weeks a go & mum droped the car off the night before service, as she has always done. The next day the dealer phoned and said Motability have not give us permission, due to the service being over a month early and she was told to come collect the car. The dealer have collected the car today FOC and will drop it off later after the service is done.
This is a 2nd year service, but just shows how Motability are clamping down. My guess is dealers do this so they can get a 3rd year service as they have done in the past and with so many taking it KrapFit for the MOT.
August 19, 2026 at 1:34 pm #377552I received a text from my dealer 4 weeks ago saying my car was booked in mid September. For what it’s booked in for, I don’t have a clue as they along with nearly every other dealer or organisation have shut down email communications.
I learnt from bitter experience never to have a telephone conversation with them unless you record it, so I await mid- September and a phone call from the dealer asking where I am.
August 19, 2026 at 6:51 pm #3775703rd year service Suzuki sent a video of the service as per manufactures just a visual check over.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
