I noticed a pressure warning on my dash indicating I needed air in my tyres. Drove to the local garage with £1 in my pocket. £1:50 you’ve got to be kidding, just for air, I didn’t have another 50p on me but I noticed you could pay by card but the unit looked so dodgy I decided to give it a miss.

I’ve been saving up and I’ve managed to get another 50p so today I will get it sorted.

      £1:50 for air, unbelievable.

Has your car not got a tyre repair/inflation kit? most do nowadays instead of a spare wheel.

I had a flat on the Enyaq and used the pump to blow it back up until I could get it sorted.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

I always car a battery air compressor in the boot cubby hole, as WMC says. Yep @Brydo wait until they charge us for breathing air. £20:00 a day I would guess. More if you take exercise!

They all charge for air round here, Sainsbury’s petrol station was the last to give free air, but that changed last year.
£1.50 is a bit steep though, I’m sure Asda only charge 20p, I’ve not used it for a long time as like others I have a 12v tyre pump in the boot. I took it out of our car two leases back and forgot to put it back when the car was returned, genuinely!

I have a Bosch rechargeable air pump and an accurate tyre pressure gauge.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

Yes guys I reckon I will be buying a charger via Amazon, however I need two new front tyres so looks like Kiki fit will have saved me a few £ in the short term. I’ll just get them to check the rear tyres at the same time and bobs your uncle free air 😂

As an aside what’s the procedure for getting new tyres. Do you phone Kwik fit in advance and book a slot or just turn up.

It’s strange that I need new tyres after just 16,000 miles. The last Volvo xc40 I was 32,000 miles before I replaced the front tyres.
