I spent 3 months last year looking to buy at the bottom end of the EV market. What I discovered was the only car worth “me” considering was a 13-14 plate Acenta Leaf. The ones from 11-12 plate were from Japan and although highly specified they have inferior battery tech and should be avoided. They also have an old style heater that can rob you of range. Newer ones not the “Visia” have heat pumps.
Because I am not willing to travel for one I ended up with nothing. Was one at York last week it seemed ideal but it had 2 battery bars missing when it should have had non for 40k miles. It turned out he could not charge it at home so had to “fast charge” it ALL the time and it had caused this.
