I had a galaxy titanium for 3 days extended test drive, a 150bhp diesel auto with stop start etc. and it wouldn’t do more then 36mpg even though the trip was showing 45mpg.
Mixed driving and in the end our touran was about 10 mpg better on fuel, was quicker and again I could get comfy easy in the vw, in the for I couldn’t get comfy.
The arm rest was fixed on the galaxy? On our Tiguan it slides forward and back and is on a ratchet for height.
So the touran though smaller was still better for comfort and as practicle as the front passenger seat folds flat to carry almost 8ft long lengths
