Craig there is no doubt that public charging will be more expensive than home charging but 60% of the UK public will have access to a home charger if they so choose. Cheap home chgarging will change as the tax revenue from lower diesel and petrol sales start to reduce the inland revenues taxes. The Government will look at ways to recover this lost revenue stream and evs, and home charging in particular, will likely suffer as a result.
No matter when you Charge your car, whether in the winter or summer, the charging time will be the same, if it takes 5.7 hours to charge to full capacity in the summer it will take the same in the winter.
