sorry to hear this, I’m in a similar position, but my Gp has arranged that my wife and I get free transport to and from appointments. In a private car or sometimes an ambulance service car.
Definitely look into this is saved me so much hassle and money on cabs over the years.
Tomorrow I get picked up at 5am and taken to Stanmore my third spinal surgery this year.
My my wife is disabled so can’t and doesn’t drive and my kids are all working.
