Photo I sent on survey of cut-out.

    Pic of the EV install

Also a week later we had new smart meters installed as old ones never sent data ever. Who flagged up that the gas bonding was near boiler, not gas meter and gave me a card.

The question, is this supply looped?

He looked at the wires as did the Ev installer from ohme and then just installed the new meter.

Where does that wire go that comes out of the left of the cut-out and comes back into the top of the righthand side.

The answer according to National grid, after coming and looking at it and checking next-door, is that it’s looped to next door via a tail. So they coming around to do full survey to plan the unloop on the 12th and then hopefully do the work needed. He did say it was very unusual and he’d not seen one like this before.

Luckily next-door have agreed to this in principle as their meter will need moving outside as they are looped from us and then connected to their consumer unit which is under the stairs like ours is. We live in a semi- detached house.

We only need a new connection outside to what comes in already to us and then they will upgrade the cut-out also from the 60a. Kind of lucky to have the Charger installed, but also worried that it could be an issue if two 4 bedroom houses are drawing off a 60a fuse, but as I only charge at night not a big issue as they don’t have an Ev charger.
